Care & Support
Our Pastoral Teams are available to all at Christ Church and can offer support in a range of ways outlined below.
Alex Horlock is the Pastoral Care Team Leader at Northcourt Road - contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Janice Wenninger is the Pastoral Care Team Leader at Long Furlong - contact email@example.com. Alternatively, you can phone the Church Office: 01235 539172
The Long Furlong Pastoral Team is available to offer you prayer, comfort and support. You are welcome to email Janice, the team leader, directly if you would like to explore what is available or feel unsure who to approach. There are times when we all need a listening ear and encouragement. We also have people available to offer visiting and home communion. Whatever your situation or need we are here to come alongside you with the offer of loving, pastoral care in a way that suits you.
For further information, take a look at the LF Pastoral Care Leaflet.
Footprints is our monthly group for those who have been bereaved or suffered other loss. We meet in The Barn every second Tuesday of the month at 10:30am, with tea and coffee, biscuits and homemade cake, and sometimes have a short relevant talk. Everyone in the group is experiencing loss; Footprints offers friendship, understanding and gentle support.

Pastoral Listening & Prayer Ministry
Pastoral Prayer Ministry offers a listening service for you to share what is on your mind. Trained and experienced team members will support you either once, or over a few sessions to listen and offer more in-depth prayer in a confidential space. Prayer and chat over the phone are also available or we are happy to meet up at the café and listen over a coffee.
Lead: Christine Bell: email@example.com
The Visiting Team are available to offer you a friendly chat, practical support, share scripture and pray with you. We can visit you at home or elsewhere such as the Church Café or Prayer Room, for a one-off session or more if you wish. Whether you consider yourself young or old, there are times we all need a listening ear and encouragement as we journey through life. Whatever your situation or need, we are here to come alongside you with the offer of loving pastoral care in a way that suits you.
Lead: Gabrielle Dent: firstname.lastname@example.org
Prayer Ministry is available after each morning Holy Communion Service and after every 6.30pm Zoom service. Two people from the team will be available to pray for you. Please be guided by the Service Pastor who will direct you at the end of the service. The morning prayer ministry is available online, please CLICK HERE to follow the link for online prayer. Please note that we can only offer online prayer ministry to over 18s.
