All Youth (School Years 7-13)

Once a term we run a special event called CONNECT. This is a time for youth across Abingdon to connect with each other and with God. We usually have food, games, prizes, worship, performances and a talk.

Connect Weekend Away

Youth Weekend Away

In February we run a Connect Youth Weekend – a really fun time for the whole youth group to go away together and grow in our love for God and each other. Every young person in school years 7 to 13 is invited to join us for a weekend of fun, worship, friendship and teaching.

The residential trip is a really important experience as it offers more time to: build friendships within the group and create lasting memories together, focus on faith and go deeper in our relationship with Jesus & try new things, grow in confidence and have a LOT of fun!

Summer Activities

Summer Activities

As a church we spend a week away during the summer at New Wine United. We camp together as a youth group and some of the older youth serve on team.

We also help at the church’s annual holiday club in August – where lots of young people help to plan and lead the activities. The youth band usually leads the worship.

Desire Schools Work

Desire Schools Work

We partner with local youth workers to visit four secondary schools in Abingdon delivering assemblies, lunch clubs, prayer spaces and lessons. In Spring we usually partner with Youth For Christ for an exciting week of mission to one of the local state schools. In November we work with BeSpace to run a prayer space.
