We are a life group linked to CCA on Long Furlong. We meet every week and read the Bible or focus on issues such as well-being. We enjoy cake and biscuits and share what has been happening in our lives. We pray and encourage each other. Some of us are involved with Street Pastors, music, preaching and children's work.

We meet to encourage each other (hence our name, Acts 4:36) in our faith and ministry through Bible study, prayer and mutual support. We are a bit of a 'cooperative' as we all share the leadership of Bible studies and prayer times. We have a mixture of ages but are mostly in the middle! Group members are involved in the Foodbak, Samaritans, Youth work, Street Pastors, Church hospitality, and Park Run! We include family members in our termly walks and social events. We meet once a week on a Wednesday evening. Supporting each other is an important aspect of our group, one way we do this is by sharing a meal together. Discussions on faith and other aspects of life are encouraged and prayer is an integral part of our meetings. We are mostly in our 20's and 30's. We start with cake from 7:30 and then a Bible study and prayer. We finish at 9pm. We are involved in the Resonate (18-30s socials). A group for women of all ages where we aim to support and encourage each other in our Christian faith. Refreshments are followed by a short bible study and prayer for each other.

We're a friendly group that meets twice a month. We enjoy catching up with each other over refreshments followed by bible study/other short studies or following themes from the service, supporting each other through prayer and friendship. We also enjoy occasional socials and sharing hospitality.

Most of the members of the Newbies Group are fairly new to Christchurch. We are diverse in age, nationality, Christian experience and jobs. We meet in a home each Thursday, usually for supper, a short time of worship, Bible study and prayer – with an occasional social evening.. Our aim is to help one another walk the way of Jesus. We aim to create a warm environment where adults at all stages on their faith journey can be encouraged, and where we can easily bring along friends. We are a diverse group of ages, life stages, nationalities and denominations. We meet in the Prayer Room at ChristChurch Northcourt Road and we start with a cuppa, followed most weeks by a Bible study and prayer.
