At Christ Church, we have a number of groups aimed at those 60+ who meet on a regular basis. We also run a range of 60+ events throughout the year. Take a look at our EVENTS & COURSES page for upcoming events, trips & activities!
Thursday Fellowship is a caring, supportive group for older people. We meet twice a month, starting with refreshments and time to chat before an informal church service. We celebrate Communion once a term and have lunches twice a term. We pray that everyone who comes will feel welcomed, know God’s love for them individually and grow in faith. We meet on the 1st & 3rd Thursdays of the month in the Barn at Northcourt Road.
Coffee, Cake & Chat
An opportunity to come together for a social morning drinking coffee (or tea!), eating cake and getting to know each other. All are welcome to join us at 10am on the last Friday of each month in the Church Hall.
We have a team who make regular home visits to share Communion with those who are house bound or unable to attend Sunday services. If you are aware of someone who would like to receive home communion visits, please contact Sue Quantick on email@example.com
Friendly Cuppa is an afternoon group for adults who wish to meet others from Long Furlong for a drink, chat, activities and a chance to make friends. We meet from 2:30-4pm, 2nd Wednesday of the month at Long Furlong Community Centre, £1 Donation.
LF Coffee Break
Coffee Break is one of our Long Furlong based groups. It is a great place to chat, make friends, and to catch up with what's going on in our families, the local church and the community. Tuesdays at 10:15am, alternating between meeting at a coffee shop and someone’s house.
Care and Residential Homes
Teams from Christ Church lead monthly services for residents in Fountain Court and Abingdon Court homes.
