How to Give

We recognise everything we have comes from God. One way to respond to God’s generosity to us is by giving financially. Below are some ways you can give to Christ Church.

Why Give?

Why Give?

Our giving is primarily a response to the generosity of God, who: "loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
We give because God is a generous giver.

As we consider giving, we recognise that everything we have is a gift from God: "Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand." (1 Chronicles 29:14).

So, our giving is part of our discipleship, part of our worship. It’s about recognising that Jesus is Lord of every part of our lives. It’s from this starting point that we prayerfully consider giving to support the Great Commission that Jesus gives us to make disciples.

Finances

Visitors to the church are under no obligation to give.

If you have any questions about giving to Christ Church, please e-mail treasurer@cca.uk.net.

Christ Church Abingdon is registered charity number 1153844. A full financial report, audited accounts and annual budget are published each year and made available at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting. The elected PCC scrutinises and authorises expenditure throughout the year.

15% of the money received by Christ Church is given away to support mission beyond the parish, in the UK and overseas. Occasionally we will take up special offerings in the event of a disaster or a missionary endeavour, etc. These are taken up in addition to our regular giving.
