Our Pastoral Teams are available to all at Christ Church and can offer support in a range of ways outlined below.
If you would like pastoral support, please contact pastoral@cca.uk.net for the Northcourt Road team or contact lfpastoral@cca.uk.net for the Long Furlong Team. Alternatively, you can phone the Church Office: 01235 539172.
Pastoral Prayer Ministry offers a listening service for you to share what is on your mind. Trained and experienced team members will support you either once, or over a few sessions to listen and offer more in-depth prayer in a confidential space. Prayer and chat over the phone are also available or we are happy to meet up at the café and listen over a coffee.

The Visiting Team are available to offer you a friendly chat, practical support, share scripture and pray with you. We can visit you at home or elsewhere such as the Church Café or Prayer Room, for a one-off session or more if you wish. Whether you consider yourself young or old, there are times we all need a listening ear and encouragement as we journey through life. Whatever your situation or need, we are here to come alongside you with the offer of loving pastoral care in a way that suits you.

Prayer Ministry is available after each morning Holy Communion Service and after every 6.30pm service. Two people from the team will be available to pray for you. Please be guided by the Service Pastor who will direct you at the end of the service. Everyone is welcome.

At Christ Church, we want to be a community ‘With Jesus, Like Jesus, For Jesus’. Being part of an intentional mentoring relationship can offer a personal route to continued growth to maturity in faith.
Mentoring is a relationship of trust in which a mentor supports another person to develop in maturity as a disciple of Christ through periodic confidential meetings and prayer. In this safe space, what is happening in their life can be expressed and processed to recognise what God is doing. The mentor can offer discerning listening and encouragement in providing a wider perspective to explore issues – building vision and sharing know-how and wise counsel.
